The Alliance for a Healthier South Carolina, SC Office of Rural Health, and SC AHEC have resumed in-person Results-Based Accountability workshops. The first of this round of workshops will be hosted at SC Thrive in Columbia on July 29th. Registration for the trainings are now live for those who have completed the prerequisite online modules!
Registration | In Person Workshop and Online Modules: http://www.scahec.net/learn/RBA This live, in-person training provides an opportunity to apply and implement principles of Results-Based Accountability (RBA). Participants must first complete the RBA online module prior to attending this live training session (or already have RBA certification from Clear Impact).
As a coalition, our projects and strategies are evaluated through a method called, "Results Based Accountability" or RBA. Led through training by the South Carolina Office of Rural Health (SCORH), we are learning that "RBA uses a data-driven, decision-making process to help communities and organizations get beyond talking about problems to taking action to solve problems. It is a simple, common sense framework that everyone can understand. RBA starts with ends and works backward, towards means. The “end” or difference you are trying to make looks slightly different if you are working on a broad community level or are focusing on your specific program or organization."
It's founding organization, Clear Impact, furthers explains, "the population versus performance distinction is what separates RBA from all other frameworks. It is important to understand because it determines who is responsible for what. Population accountability organizes our work with co-equal partners to promote community well-being. In contrast, Performance Accountability organizes our work to have the greatest impact on our customers. What we do for our customers is our contribution to community impact." Source: Clear Impact
